How to access your T4s and other tax documents in Payreq

Your T4s and other tax statements are delivered securely to your Payreq account, just like your pay statements. Learn how to find and download them.


About your T4 and tax documents

Your employer uses Payreq to securely send you tax documents, such as:

  • T4 slips (Canada)

  • End of year tax forms, like W-2s (US)

  • Other income-related tax statements

These documents are important for filing your taxes each year and may also be required if you apply for loans, mortgages, or other financial services.


Where to find your tax documents

Your tax documents are delivered to your Payreq Smart Mailbox, the same way your pay statements are.

  1. Log in to your account at go.payreq.com.

  2. Go to the Inbox.

  3. Look for your T4 or tax statement in the list of documents.

    • They are usually labeled clearly, such as “T4 2024” or “W-2 2024”.

    • The most recent documents will appear at the top of the list.


Downloading your tax documents

To download a copy for your records or tax filing:

  1. Open the tax document by clicking on it.

  2. Click the Download button.

  3. Save the file to your computer, phone, or tablet.

    • The document will be in PDF format, which you can view or print.

Tip:

  • On a computer, check your Downloads folder.

  • On a phone, look in your Files or Documents app.


When tax documents are available

  • Employers usually issue tax forms once per year, typically at the end of the tax year.

  • You will receive a notification from Payreq when your T4 or tax statement is ready to view.


If you don’t see your tax documents

If you can’t find your T4 or other tax documents:

  1. Make sure you have subscribed to your employer in Payreq.

  2. Double-check that you’re logged into the correct account.

  3. Look for documents under Inbox, not under Subscriptions.

  4. If it’s past tax season and you still don’t see them, contact your HR or payroll team — they control when these documents are released.
